SkyGazer 4 has been selected by textbook publisher Pearson Addison-Wesley as the companion software for its college astronomy textbooks The Cosmic Perspective, 5th edition, and The Essential Cosmic Perspective Media Update, 4th edition.
These textbooks are authored by Jeffrey O. Bennett and Nicholas Schneider of the University of Colorado, Boulder; and Megan Donahue and Mark Voit of Michigan State University. They are excellent college-level introductions to astronomy. Both are lavishly illustrated, and present a broad view of astronomy, straightforwardly descriptive, without complex mathematics.
